Sublime, ethereal, and dreamlike are just some of the words that come to mind when viewing pieces from French crystal house Daum. Since 1878, the Nancy, France-based company has been employing an array of artisans at their rural factory, where each piece is thoughtfully made by hand. Although the brand rose to attention in the late 19th-century with their stunning Art Nouveau pieces, today, they have evolved with decorative objects as varied as an aquamarine vase inspired by the movement of manta rays through the ocean to a decorative crystal flower that measures just five inches long but has infinitely intricate petals and color variations so vibrant, it seems lit from within.

Along with Daum, another heritage brand rooted in French craftsmanship also shares its Bal Harbour boutique. Haviland, dating back to 1842, is known for its fine Limoges porcelain. The beauty in their finished products stems from the combination of the finest quality hard-paste porcelain coupled with the most exquisite hand-decoration of each piece. Teatime is immediately an exotic event when you serve it with a set from Haviland’s Rêves du Nil collection, inspired by ancient Egypt. Or show off Haviland’s six-arm candelabra in silver and walnut from the brand’s Romane Orange collection, which gives a nod to the French house’s bohemian side.

While a picture can say a thousand words, there’s nothing like experiencing the beauty of these—and many more—spectacular pieces, available now at the Daum-Haviland boutique on Level 3 of Bal Harbour Shops.
