On May 25th 1977, George Lucas changed the world with the release of his original Star Wars film. 42 years later, the iconic film series landed onto fashion’s most esteemed runway in Milan with a one-of-a-kind capsule collection by ETRO. Longtime fans will appreciate the 10-piece unisex capsule with hoodies, crewnecks, and T-shirts dedicated to characters from the original trilogy—now available for a limited time at ETRO Bal Harbour.

With the ninth episode of the smash hit movie series Star Wars coming out in a few months—Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, directed by the legendary J.J. Abrams—ETRO has launched an exclusive capsule collection collaborating with the franchise, under Walt Disney Pictures’ Lucasfilm. Focused exclusively on the lights side of the force—fashion designer Kean Etro crafted pieces that feature characters like Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan and R2D2 make appearances as well, while a specific print boasts Etro’s favorite character, Yoda, from a scene from 1980’s The Empire Strikes Back.

In the past, brands like Vetements, Rodarte, and Preen have all tapped into the series’ iconography, taking Darth Vader masks or Imperial crests and adding them to highly stylized womenswear. ETRO took a different approach, and by strictly focusing on ‘the good guys’ and adding the house’s signature paisley print, this collection offers something different—an accessible take on Star Wars that can be worn by die-hard fans or by those looking to add a unique flair to their wardrobe.
