Standout Scents

Bottega Veneta’s Alchemie eau de parfum, part of a new five-fragrance collection.

With the new year comes the natural tendency to start fresh—be it a new wellness routine, hobby, or perhaps a new language. But have you considered a new scent? A fragrance can transport you—back in time, to far-off places—or even inspire new adventures. For all those reasons and more, we’ve pulled together a fragrance edit to guide your olfactory journey. Even if the scent doesn’t become your signature, the bottle will still look great on your vanity.

  1. Lalique fragrance bottle in orange and pink colorways

    Lalique

    Soleil Lunar
The newest addition to Lalique’s Soleil collection is an homage to the moonrise. Notes of sparkling mandarin and pink pepper captivatingly contrast with a warm musk and amber base.
  2. Dries Van Noten fragrance bottle

    Dries van Noten

    Soie Malaquais
The refillable porcelain flacon is stunning; the fragrance—a soft swirl of rose, chestnut, and cocoa—inspired by the silk dresses in Dries Van Noten’s Paris boutique, even more so. Available at Saks Fifth Avenue.
  3. Bottega Veneta fragrance bottle

    Bottega Veneta

    Déjà Minuit
The debut fragrance collection from (now former) Creative Director Matthieu Blazy nods to Bottega Veneta’s Venice roots, with hand-blown glass bottles and ingredients that reference its history as a center of global trade. Déjà Minuit juxtaposes herbaceous Madagascar geranium with spicy Guatemalan cardamom.
  4. Chloe fragrance bottle

    Chloé

    Ateliers des Fleurs Tubéreuse Lazuli
One of three new Fleurs de Nuit fragrances that pay tribute to night-blooming flowers, Tubéreuse Lazuli captures the headiness of Indian tuberose and jasmine, against a base of creamy sandalwood, smoky patchouli, and enveloping oud.
  5. Cartier fragrance bottle

    Cartier

    La Panthère Elixir
In this beautiful remix of Cartier’s iconic La Panthère scent, which was originally created by house perfumer Mathilde Laurent in 2014, velvety musk and shimmering jasmine come to the forefront. Accented with soft amber, the scent melts alluringly onto skin, creating an aura of confident sensuality. Available at Neiman Marcus.
  6. Gucci fragrance bottle

    Gucci

    Flora Gorgeous Orchid
In Gorgeous Orchid, the rich sweetness of vanilla combines with bright ozonic notes. In the resulting airy floral mix, the lustrous vanilla orchid at the fragrance’s heart truly blooms.
  7. Hermes fragrance bottle

    Hermès

    Barénia
The house’s first Chypre fragrance, Barénia contrasts earthy, skin-enhancing notes of oakwood and patchouli with radiant butterfly lily and delicately sweet miracle berry. The refillable bottle, with domed pyramid studs inspired by the iconic Hermès Collier de Chien bracelet, is itself a work of art. Available at Neiman Marcus.
