Silvia Tcherassi
Designer Silvia Tcherassi is considered one of the most imaginative and prolific figures in fashion. With over 30 years in the industry, she has showcased her unique creative vision on some of the world’s most important stages, including Milan and Paris, as invited by the event’s organizers. She has been awarded one of France’s highest honors, the Officier de L’Ordre Arts et Lettres (Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters), a distinction bestowed on leaders of the international arts community for their contribution and commitment to cultural service.

From the early start of her career, Silvia has always sought to capture a natural kind of elegance that is never forced or overdone and in so doing, she has successfully carved out her own niche within the luxury sector. Her vision can be characterized as ‘Effortless Elegance’, the same title given to her book published by Random House in 2009. Her pieces are praised worldwide for their attention to detail and impeccable confection, with an emphasis on well-executed ‘soft tailoring.’ Known for her mastery of color and texture, she works in an experimental and artistic manner, achieving a unique aesthetic that has captivated members of royal families, Hollywood stars and fashion icons.

Born on the shores of the Colombian Caribbean, she began her career as an interior designer, and yet the search for novel artistic expressions subsequently led her to fashion. Her collections include atelier, ready-to-wear and accessories. Her pieces can be found in some of the most prestigious department stores around the world as well as in her own boutiques in Europe, North America and Latin America. Tcherassi lives and works in the United States where she also has her company headquarters.
