René Caovilla

The Maison Caovilla was founded by Edoardo Caovilla in 1934 in Fiesso d’Artico, near Venice, the heartland of the handmade footwear tradition since the Republic of Venice. In the early Sixties, his son René Fernando Caovilla took over the company reins. By combining his father’s meticulous craftsmanship with innovation, he turned Rene Caovilla into an international success with 14 directly operated stores and 115 multi-brand venues. From sketch to sparkling shoe, the entire production cycle is still carried out in-house. Excellence remains the byword at Caovilla, constantly elevating the house’s sense of glamour, dreaminess and red-carpet desirability.

Beads? Embellishments? They’re in the bag—especially when it comes from Valentino and Fendi.
Bruschetta, spaghetti. Tomatoes make everything better. This Judith Leiber Tomato Pomodoro clutch was freshly picked at The Webster at Bal Harbour Shops and savored at Carpaccio.
Zip it up. But make it fashion with Van Cleef & Arpels 18k white gold violet sapphire and diamond Zip Antique Couples Convertible necklace/bracelet. Originally created in the 1930s through a collaboration between Renée Puissant, the Maison’s visionary Creative Director, and the Duchess of Windsor, the innovative design transformed the everyday zipper into a work of art and now has found a home at YAFA, where it waits for you to discover it.

How would you wear it? Around your neck or wrapped around your wrist?
You deserve a sweet treat right about now. We suggest you make it Slim’s New York cheesecake, featuring amarena cherries, pecan caramel, and graham cracker crust.
