Red Market Salon

Red Market Salon opened at Bal Harbour Shops in 2009, though the idea took shape far earlier in the minds of Jean Marc Durante and Reynald Ricard. Sixteen years on, the French color house they built on the third level remains one of Miami’s most sought-after destinations for hair.

The salon is known above all for color: hand-painted French balayage, dimensional highlights, color correction, and the kind of blonde work that survives a Miami summer. Alongside it are precision cutting, K-Tip and tape-in hair extensions color-matched by the salon’s own colorists, keratin and smoothing treatments designed for the humidity, men’s grooming, and a nail studio specializing in Russian-style dry manicures.

Jean Marc and Reynald continue to travel to Paris regularly for new techniques, the through-line of a salon that has spent more than sixteen years fusing French craft with the way Miami actually lives.
