Welcome Back, Wolford!

A timeless look from Wolford.

Wolford–the luxury ready-to-wear, athleisure, and skinwear label–reveals a brand new store design at Bal Harbour Shops. The boutique has been totally renovated to showcase the brand’s latest retail concept as imagined by creative director Luca Olimpio. Pale green onyx stone–which recalls the Shops’ lush foliage–frames the façade, while terrazzo tile unfurls throughout the boutique. And none other than luxe paint-maker Farrow & Ball created the custom color that covers the walls. Look up and you’ll be enchanted by the store’s custom chandelier by Officina Luce, which integrates Wolford’s logo alongside alluring nude satin (you really have to see it to believe it).

But, while we all appreciate good design, we’re really here for the looks. The revamped boutique carries ready-to-wear, essentials, lingerie and select examples of collaborations–the most recent of which has been carried out with the French fashion house of Mugler (Mugler has experienced a renaissance of late–Cardi B and Kim Kardashian, among many others, have been spotted wearing the labels this year). The Wolford x Mugler collab boasts 12 styles of bodysuits, dresses, gloves, leggings and cycling shorts–each rendered with a special shape lifting construction. (It’s a full circle moment, too–Wolford and Mugler also collaborated in the 1980s!)

Wolford’s Autumn/Winter 2022-2023 collection is on full display in this sparkling new home. Pulling inspiration from the pop culture power women of the 1980s and 1990s–from supermodels to musicians to cinema stars–this lineup promises a wardrobe finished with refined elegance and total seduction. It’s a complete embodiment of Wolford’s legacy and reputation for luxury skinwear, yet the collection is designed for the world as it evolves, with cues that are bold, confident and always contemporary.

Be sure to check out highlights such as: Vegan leather and Merino wool trousers and dresses, precision-shaped leggings and (very Miami-friendly) animal or floral-print legwear. Another standout: Wolford’s The W, which is the brand’s athleisure collection. Produced using Wolford’s signature techniques & high qualify fabrics, this collection is designed to move with you and keep you looking & feeling your best from the studio to the streets. Wolford also has a number of clever purchasing options, including a text-to-shop service, which is available during store hours. Upon request, private shopping events and private shopping appointments can also be arranged.

Not every occasion calls for something as eye-catching as Aquazzura’s new Birdsong collection, but the ones that do, are going to be wild. Inspired by lively birds and lush, tropical landscapes, each piece features intricate handwoven embellishments crafted in Colombia by local artists out of raffia and leather. Consider them an instant escape to an exotic locale every time you wear them.
