Offering an imaginative vision of ready-to-wear executed with exacting finesse, ESCADA has opened its first concept store in the U.S. at Bal Harbour Shops. Beloved by icons from Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell to Princess Diana, the German luxury label has entered a new era. Launched by Margaretha and Wolfgang Ley in 1978, the brand stands out through its wide range of colourways and prints, exceptional quality, perfect fit and love for detail. Being a former model and having a solid education in tailoring from the Royal Court in Stockholm, Margaretha Ley had an extraordinary feel for colors, an eye for detail and a true sense for what women desired – styles that portrayed femininity in a creative and effortless way.

1978 saw the first presentation of the ESCADA womenswear collection, which was praised internationally for its exquisite inlays and appliques. Through the two product lines, ESCADA and ESCADA SPORT, the brand offers its customers covetable looks for every occasion. From fun daytime ensembles, to head-turning eveningwear, shoes, bags and accessories.

Bal Harbour Shops is home to the first ESCADA concept store in the U.S. and is nothing short of extraordinary. The brand worked with interior designer Fran Hickman, and the look of the store takes its cues from ancient Japanese artistry and the classic styles of the architect and furniture designer T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings. Hickman said she wanted to create an atmosphere that invites the client into an elegant and sophisticated space, with walls that are hand-painted with gold leaves and Art Deco-inspired furnishing and soft seating.
