Men’s swim and resort wear label Orlebar Brown has joined forces with Bal Harbour Shops on its first fashion collab: limited-edition swim shorts. Artist Sebastian Marc Graham was tapped to hand-paint a print that now lives on Orlebar Brown’s signature Bulldog, and for the littles, Russell, swim shorts, transforming the summer wardrobe staple into a hyper-local (and heartfelt) creative canvas.
“This collaboration is particularly special to me because it brings together two names that I genuinely admire,” says Graham, who won the Shops’ Creative Challenge fashion illustration initiative, in 2023.

His familiarity with the setting runs deep. “Bal Harbour Shops is a place I know well and have enjoyed for many years. There is a unique atmosphere that is difficult to find anywhere else: a combination of tropical beauty, elegance, serenity, and sophistication.”
That atmosphere became his mood board. Graham drew inspiration directly from the property’s most recognizable outdoor flourishes, such as the iconic koi ponds, the lush palms, and the orchids that drift through the Shops’ open-air corridors. “One of my favorite details is the layering of the orchids over the landscape elements, creating shadows and depth that give the piece an almost three-dimensional quality,” says Graham.”
The result is something of a dreamlike vision: lacquered blooms, reflective pools, and drifting fish rendered in luminous watercolors. “Rather than simply depicting a location, I wanted to capture the sense of tranquility and escape that people feel when they spend time at the Shops,” adds Graham.
Mission accomplished. The finished piece feels, as Graham puts it, “effortless, wearable, and perfectly suited to summer.”
This edition marks Orlebar Brown’s first collaboration with a shopping destination.
