Silvia Tcherassi Celebrates Miami Open with Tennis-Inspired Sofia Bag Launch

Silvia Tcherassi celebrated the Miami Open, where fashion meets tennis. To celebrate the tournament, the Colombian designer unveiled a special version of her signature Sofia Bag, named after her daughter, Sofia Tcherassi, the brand’s Director of Ready-to-Wear.

The tennis-inspired Sofia Bag launch event was hosted by Sofia Espinosa Tcherassi and Olivia Elliot during an intimate evening at a private residence in Miami Beach. Guests gathered for an alfresco dinner just steps from the court. Among the attendees were Grigor Dimitrov and Lorenzo Musetti.

The launch also included a curated edit of accessories, such as silk scarves and bag charms. “When done right, sports and fashion can be an exceptional pairing,” Tcherassi shared.

Created by football designer and artist Jon-Paul Wheatley, the immersive activation features everything from an oversized sculptural ball to interactive stations that allow guests to design their own balls. Experience it for yourself through June 28.
