A behind the scenes look at Ferragamo’s Pre-Fall 2025 campaign starring actress Angelina Kendall.
For Pre-Fall 2025, Ferragamo’s Maximilian Davis has channeled–and reframed–the house’s starry cinematic legacy.
For one, Davis tapped the acclaimed filmmaker Alice Rohrwacher to direct a three-chapter short film around the season, which was shot at Rome’s legendary Cinecittà Studios (this is essentially the Italian’s capital’s version of the Universal Lot in L.A.).
The collaboration bridges Ferragamo’s historic ties to Hollywood–where the label’s namesake, Salvatore Ferragamo, built his reputation creating footwear for some of the most iconic silver screen figures of all time, including Joan Crawford, Judy Garland, and Marilyn Monroe–with Rohrwacher’s poetic realism and distinctly Italian cosmopolitanism. The result is a visualization of considered and sophisticated glamor, and the pieces featured within it uphold this sense of a captivating then-and-now. Think: golden-era Tinseltown charm and contemporary, romantic Italian sensibility.
At Ferragamo, Davis isn’t just revisiting the house’s origins; he’s reimagining them with new clarity and adding to the house’s timeless canon. Here, we’re spotlighting the pieces from Ferragamo’s Pre-Fall collection that have captured our hearts.
-
Understated handbags are on trend this season. There’s something especially unique–yet still low-key–about this top handle day-bag.
-
You can never go wrong with a slingback, especially in Ferragamo’s signature burgundy hue. The golden hardware on the front adds a bit of that filmic flair.
-
Though it may be demure, this low pump packs plenty of style with its orbed heel and flattering t-strap.
-
Here’s a more aesthetically bold footwear option: a mule-esque slide, in rich black velvet, with a golden orb kitten heel. (We like to imagine the sphere as a take on Italian disco; a very cinematic dream.)
-
Another day bag option, seen here with a bit more graphic texture. We love the pleated leather folds on this otherwise traditional shape. The metal Ferragamo horsebit accents make it pop.
-
Highly glamorous yet restrained, this dress strikes a perfect balance of vintage-esque appeal with a modern confidence; it’s elegant, flattering, and just a touch eclectic.
-
You can never go wrong with a little white dress, especially in Miami. The tiniest capped shoulders add a nostalgic impression to the silhouette, while its clean lines are all contemporary.
-
A fresh take on the cargo skirt: belted with a knot with trailing straps. Retro–yet not–at the same time.
-
Glamorous and bold, these sunglasses feature Ferragamo’s house icon imprinted on the shield.
-
An instant classic frame, with an Art Deco-era bridge and temple details.
