This imperial-era grande dame, built in 1906 and the former HQ of Britain’s secret service, has just undergone a lavish renovation. New owner Sanjay Hinduja splashed out more than $1.2 billion to turn the Old War Office into London’s ground zero for glamour, reincarnated as The OWO. Comprised of the 120-room five-star Raffles hotel and just 85 residences, the property features 9 restaurants, including a trio by Michelin-endorsed Mauro Colagreco, plus the first spa run by Guerlain in London. The real draw, though, is its half dozen signature suites, each housed in painstakingly restored wood-paneled reception room, where dignitaries were once welcomed by Winston Churchill and co.
