When Gianvito Rossi was first toting his stunning shoe designs around the world, only a valise as well-crafted as his shoes would do. So, he created a supremely crafted leather briefcase with compartments to showcase and delicately store his high-heeled creations as he carried them around the world, from Milan to Paris and New York. It is drawing upon that history that the coveted Italian label has created Valì, its first-ever handbag, which also marks the brand’s entry into accessories.

Much like the label’s ethos of creating perfectly modern footwear rooted in minimalism, Valì’s aesthetic is both effortless and eye-catching, functional and sculptural. “It’s a small modern chest where they can treasure their precious belongings,” says Gianvito Rossi, describing how he envisioned the bag for his clients.

Rather than debut accessories with a diluted array of options, Gianvito Rossi has instead curated a release of just two sizes for Valì. The first offers two handles and a leather shoulder strap, making it versatile for a variety of daily needs. Match it in Cipria pink—the label’s signature color—with their Bijoux sandals or Portofino 105 for afternoons spent at Bal Harbour Shops’ own Avenue 31 Cafe. Also available in violet, black, and white, the carefully edited color selection assures that there’s no wrong choice.

Complementing the hands-free purse is a Valì clutch, a hand-held gem that reminds the wearer each time they touch it of the bag’s finely chosen leather. Available in Cipria, black, and pistachio, this eye-catching case with a delicate chain strap, is a perfect match to the brand’s evening shoes, such as the sparkling Rania collection and Wonder sandals.

Versatile and unbeholden to seasonal whims, Valì isn’t just a new It bag, it’s your new heirloom piece.
