Spring may be better known for its blooms, but this season there’s one trend taking its cue from another element of nature: metal. In the traditional shades of gold and silver, or the more electrifying tones in green, blue and pink, metallic shades are everywhere and we’ve rounded up 12 ways to wear them right now.

  1. Green metallic handbag

    Bottega Veneta

The Mini Jodie won our hearts the moment we laid eyes on her. And that was before the introduction of this unmissable Chlorophyll colorway!
  2. blue and green metallic sandals

    Alexandre Birman

Clarita is the icon of the Alexandre Birman family. We’re loving this new combination of metallic shades, which feels so aligned with Spring.
  3. silver cardigan with Prada logo on the chest

    Prada

Prada’s cropped cardigan stands out in the knitwear category thanks to its glimmering silver iridescence. Complement your favorite blue jeans, or go for a full shimmering look with a matching skirt.
  4. Silver metallic clutch

    Fendi

Kim Jones’ introduction of the Fendi First bag earned top marks in our book. This latest rendition in silver craquelé-effect laminated leather may have just earned the style It status.
  5. Gold triangle bikini with

    Dolce & Gabbana

For all of you manifesting that J. Lo life, this is the bikini for you. We’re pretty sure these three bits of foiled gold silk comes with yacht status, so be on the lookout.
  6. Gold waist belt

    Loewe, available at The Webster

Loewe’s metallic Obi belt is a win-win. Accentuate that heavenly body while honing in on one of the season’s best trends.
  7. pink metallic bag

    Saint Laurent

For the minimalists out there, this bag’s for you. The sleek envelope silhouette declares you’re not weighed down by anything. Add to that it’s versatile, and can be worn as a clutch or shoulder bag.
  8. blue metallic ballet flats

    Aquazzura

Aquazzura’s Maia flat is just the dressed up everyday shoe you didn’t know you needed. Available in several colors, we’re partial to this icy blue for its cool and calming effect.
  9. silver metallic handbag with crossbody strap

    Roger Vivier

The Viv’ Choc bag is a classic. This silver finish brings out a little extra shine, while remaining versatile for day or night.
  10. Gold mini dress

    Versace

Call this quintessential Versace. Encrusted in golden crystals and fastened with Medusa hardware, this ready-to-wear rendition of the iconic Metal Mesh dress hits all the marks.
  11. Gold and silver woven metal mini dress

    Roberto Cavalli

Tell me you love Rock ‘n’ Roll without telling me you love Rock ‘n’ Roll. The high-shine silver crocodile-embossed leather biker jacket is for the truly fearless.
