Slim’s, the swanky new steakhouse that feels both nostalgic and quietly subversive, has made its much-anticipated debut at Bal Harbour Shops. Conceived by Stephen Starr, the space leans into a cinematic sense of glamour with plush leather banquettes, sultry lighting, marble-checkered floors, and Art Deco–inspired murals by illustrator Christoph Niemann, all brought to life by Gachot Studios. The effect is transportive, a modern steakhouse with a knowing nod to the past.
The menu follows suit, riffing on classic steakhouse codes with a lighter, more playful hand. Think sliders, crab cakes, and elevated takes on familiar indulgences, alongside abundant seafood towers that anchor the room with a sense of occasion.
At a recent opening night fête, the bar spotlighted a signature Negroni fountain and precisely carved ice spheres stamped with the Slim’s insignia, underscoring the brand’s attention to detail. The event offered a glimpse into the restaurant’s convivial spirit, yet Slim’s ultimately reveals itself in the quieter moments when the lighting hits just right, the martinis arrive cold, and the room settles into its rhythm.
Now open at Bal Harbour Shops, Slim’s invites you to step in and experience its particular brand of old-school glamour, reimagined. Reservations are now available on Resy. Click the link below to book today!
