Explora Journeys II ship in the middle of Monaco for Formula 1 Tag Heuer Grand Prix

EXPLORA II, berthed in the historic Port Hercule at this year’s Monaco Grand Prix.

What’s your wildest travel dream?

Maybe it’s exploring Chefchouen—Morocco’s famed Blue City and its thousand cyan steps—or wading through wild gorges deep in the jungles of Martinique. Or, perhaps, it’s attending a once-in-a-lifetime sporting event, Champagne in hand, along the glitzy Mediterranean Riviera.

Explora Journeys is making those dreams a reality. Last week, the luxe ocean cruise line debuted the F1 Monaco Triple Crown Hospitality Experience at the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco, raising the bar on the spectator experience during one of the world’s most iconic sporting events. The opulent five-day immersion delivered a high-wattage guest experience that fused speed, splendor and Explora Journeys’ signature promise of exclusivity, which, according to the brand’s president Anna Nash, “was a true celebration of elegance, energy, and modern luxury.”

Ahead of the race, guests luxuriated aboard EXPLORA II, the newest cruising vessel in the fleet, for two days of curated experiences and indulgences. Docked in the historic Port Hercule, EXPLORA II had unobstructed views towards the race circuit (if you’re familiar with F1, you’ll be aware that this race is driven on Monaco’s roads, providing for challenging, and sometimes thrilling, maneuvering).

Guests of Explora Journeys enjoyed unparalleled access to the Grand Prix.

Day one got the adrenaline racing as Explora Journeys’ guests enjoyed F1 Paddock Club Yacht Access at the premium Zone 1 berth offering views of Turns 10 and 11. A highlight of day two was a coastal-inspired lunch by Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay at La Terrasse, just steps from the circuit, and on Grand Prix Sunday, Explora Journeys brought its guests to the exclusive Paddock Club (F1’s highest tier of at-the-track hospitality) to watch the action unfold. This wasn’t just race viewing: it was a full-throttle sensory celebration set against the Riviera’s most storied harbor. (And, good news, Explora Journeys will continue its partnership with Formula 1, so stay tuned for details on the next full throttle experience.)

Inspired by the company’s European heritage, Explora Journeys provides guests with an immersive ocean experience and intuitive hospitality.

It’s not only in Monaco: Explora Journeys creates travel experiences that go above and beyond, worldwide. They’ve just announced the addition of Alaska to their cruising schedule (starting in 2027). And they’ll be debuting four new ships between 2026 and 2028.

This means, indeed, that you’ll be able to enjoy bespoke luxury (including overnight on-ground stays) at some of the world’s most beautiful and rare locales, Chefchaouen and Martinique included, or perhaps truffle-hunting in Istria, or sampling local wines in Nydri is more to your liking. Bon voyage!
