The Spring Issue of Bal Harbour Magazine has arrived! We have two beautiful covers each highlighting one of our fashion stories. Here, we take a closer look at “Charleston Charm,” photographed on location in the historic South Carolina city by Brad Ogbonna. While we know firsthand that any live production can have its challenges, this one was unprecedented: a blizzard hit Charleston a day before the shoot was scheduled to take place. “Snow was still fresh on the ground and the city was shut down,” says Ogbonna, “so it took a leap of faith and a lot of imagining of what all the locations would look like not covered in snow. Thankfully, the sun arrived days later, and we were blessed with perfect weather!”

A fan of Charleston, Ogbonna wanted to make sure he captured its unique aspects: “All the things that make it one of a kind: the architecture, the Lowcountry vibes, its color and playfulness.” Swipe through the carousel below to see our cover story starring model Erin Oliopulos styled by Dione Davis in some of the standout moments from the Spring collections. We’ve also included a few fun facts about the city and its celebrated locations captured in “Charleston Charm.”

And, don’t forget to subscribe to Bal Harbour today to be amongst the first to receive the Spring issue!

“Drawing from the elegance and symbolism of Japanese aesthetics, this floral couture gown expresses spring as a season of renewal, precision, and living beauty. A dramatic, obi-inspired pink waistband represents harmony and strength.” —Lorrie Sanon, Indigo Hues Designs, presented by Makoto.

“Our mannequin captures the spirit of spring through a fresh, fashion-forward botanical vision. Designed in a palette of crisp whites and soft blues, the gown is composed of layered spring blooms that create movement, lightness and texture, evoking blossoms unfolding in a European cafe garden.” —Nadja Rain Soimaud, Flowers by Rain, presented by Avenue 31 Cafe.
