When it comes to collectible coffee table books, Assouline reigns supreme. The luxury Parisian publishing house and lifestyle company is a favorite among cognoscenti and the glamour-set for its visually rich tomes that warrant gifting and owning.

Now, you can get your Assouline fix at Bal Harbour Shops in their brand-new Level Two boutique.

Guests are invited to explore the Assouline universe in the boutique’s Ultimate Salon, where shelves are lined with handcrafted titles including ones from the coveted Impossible Collection. In addition to books, the new boutique also sells all the library accoutrement one could desire: stationery sets, modern backgammon boards, bookstands and a new set of slippers in collaboration with Stubbs and Wooton.

Assouline’s latest outpost has no shortage of noteworthy titles to pick from, but the following five are ones that we’re most excited about and highly recommend:

  1. Book cover of “Moon Paradise”

    “Moon Paradise”

As the name suggests, this book, with text by Sarah Cruddas, is filled with images that are all about the moon—both as a scientific and cultural symbol. Readers will relive the compelling Space Race of the 1960s that inspired the worlds of design, architecture and fashion.
  2. Book cover of “Hajj & The Arts of Pilgrimage

“Hajj & The Arts of Pilgrimage”

Hajj is the Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca and one of the world’s largest religious gatherings. This title, with text by Professor Sir Nasser David Khalili, is rich with images related to the sacred journey spanning from the Eighth to the 21st Century including Qu’rans, paintings and textiles.
  3. Book cover of “Moschino”

    “Moschino”

Depicted through the lens of Moschino’s lead designer, Jeremy Scott, this tome is for fashionistas, both aspiring and realized. Through an array of visuals from fashion shows, red carpets, celebrity parties and more, we experience Scott’s bold and rule-defying personality across every page.
  4. Book cover of “Gold: The Impossible Collection

    “Gold: The Impossible Collection”

The latest in the “Impossible Collection” series, this vividly illustrated volume captures the fascination we’ve held with gold over the centuries. Across 125 images and text by Berenice Geoffrey-Schneiter, we explore the subject through a diverse cast of characters ranging from religious figures to rappers, and across global cultures.
  5. Book cover of “Milan Chic”

    “Milan Chic”

Milan, one of the world’s fashion capitals, is celebrated in this book written by Massimo Nava. Readers will visit homes of top designers, studios of notable architects and workshops where acclaimed architects conceive their designs, illustrating exactly why the city remains a mecca for style in all its forms.
