Rewind to the 80s when women wore power suits with shoulder pads by day and by night they’d put on bubble skirts and sculptural gowns. Artists like Andy Warhol, Jean Michel-Basquiat, and Keith Haring pushed the boundaries of artistic expression. The new Bulgari Wild Pop collection pays homage to the special bond between Bulgari and Andy Warhol, a leading American artist of the pop art movements.

The latest Bulgari Wild Pop high jewelry collection was inspired by a single conversation by Andy Warhol and Nicola Bulgari. To celebrate the launch of the new collection in true Bulgari style, the jewelry brand hosted a party in Rome’s Stadio de Marmi. Set against an 80s soundtrack, the models appeared to center stage, each showcasing the individual pieces of this visionary collection.

The initial idea for the collection was sparked when Bulgari’s Creative Director, Lucia Silvestri visited the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts in New York City and saw all the Bulgari ephemera—catalogs and correspondence—in the artist’s archive. Wild Pop captures the 80s spirit, embracing empowerment and free-spiritedness.
