A one-of-a-kind landscape art installation titled 'Moongates' is unlike anything you've ever seen. Created by Studio Lily Kwong, we partnered with the artist herself, Lily Kwong, to create this unique interactive floral art installation. The lush, picturesque gates feature 8 circular floral structures measuring 10 feet wide by 9 feet tall. Filled with thousands of rich colored orchids - red, orange, yellow and gold – the structure honors the celebratory nature of the holiday season. 'Moongates' uses plant life as an artistic medium to highlight the surrounding tropical, open-air setting.

The magnificent 'Moongates' landscape art installation is being showcased on the center courtyard of the Shops through the new year.

The majestic installation is on display now through the beginning of January in our center courtyard. You will find yourself transported as you step into a tunnel filled with hundreds of vibrant colored orchids, layers upon layers of moss, wild plants and so much more that you will have to experience for yourself.

The symbolic power of 'Moongates' resides in its architectural form and dramatic orchid display. The Chinese American landscape artist, Lily Kwong was drawn to the moon gate, a traditional architectural element in Chinese gardens dating back thousands of years.

The gates were found in the gardens of emperors and nobility. The shape of the gates — a circle rising up from the land — is richly charged with spiritual meaning. One interpretation is the moon gate, lifting itself from the earth representing rebirth and renewal.

Can you tell me the name of the small white exterior bar that’s out in the courtyard of the shops? Or is it associated with a restaurant? Thank you.

Can you kindly specify which image you are referring to? Please note, Carpaccio and Le Zoo are the two restaurants in the center of Level 1 of the Shops. Thank you.
