Style Setter: Lizzie Tisch
The last six months have been a whirlwind for Lizzie Tisch.
The last six months have been a whirlwind for Lizzie Tisch. Last fall, she and partner Kim Kassel founded Suite 1521, a membership-based luxury fashion retail experience, in New York's prestigious 980 Madison Avenue building (also home to Gagosian Gallery's uptown outpost) and Vanity Fair included her on their “International Best-Dressed List”—the ultimate style accolade.
This spring, the milestones continue when The Costume Institute's renovated wing—made possible by a $10 million donation by Tisch and her husband Jonathan—reopens as the Anna Wintour Costume Center, which will include the 4,200-square-foot Lizzie and Jonathan Tisch Gallery. Fashion and philanthropy go hand-in-hand for Tisch: in addition to The Met where she is chair of Friends of The Costume Institute, she also serves on the board of Citymeals-on-Wheels and is a member of the Couture Council at FIT.
