Style Diary: Erika Bearman
This fashion executive and social media maven has style to spare.

It's not very common for an executive's moniker to be as recognizable as the fashion brand she represents. But such is the case for Oscar de la Renta's Erika Bearman, better known as OscarPRGirl to those who have ever stepped foot into the social media stratosphere. As of press time, @OscarPRGirl had more than 260,000 followers on both Twitter and Instagram.
The senior vice president of global communications is as active behind the scenes as she is out in front. She's often captured by fashion shutterbugs wearing midriff-bearing ensembles (you'd think the trend was created thanks to her) and of course the latest ODLR looks. Her eye for interior design is as sharp as her fashion sense; for the Southampton house she shares with her investment banker husband Jonathan, she turned to decorator Miles Redd, who outfitted the house with his signature pops of color and a dose of Hollywood Regency that perfectly suits this social media starlet.
“I love all of Oscar de la Renta’s white lace pieces for the Spring. Oscar does lace like no one else.” The white Oscar De La Renta’s Spring 2014 lace dresses provide a simple, feminine base to complement the rose gold jewelry for spring. Steal the runway look featuring the Oscar de la Renta gold bracelet with coral branch and white pearl.
If you already have rose gold wrist wear for the spring, “These big bright earrings look amazing with white dresses.” Much like her Southampton house, Bearman uses a pop of color to liven up white lace dresses with these fruit inspired Oscar de la Renta Clementine pear-shaped Earrings.
Bearman’s love of pairing white lace dresses with bold colored earrings is mirrored by her favorite look from the Oscar runway collection. The femininity in the silhouette met with the bold pop of color “were one of my favorite looks from the Oscar runway collection. What a gorgeous silhouette.” Bearman selected the Roberta d’Orsays in navy suede and Kelly green specchio trim.
“I’ve recently become obsessed with the Arms & Armor wing at The Met. It’s very romantic, just the whole idea of it—knights and chivalry, so beautiful and dangerous.” Displaying over fourteen thousand mesmeric objects from around the globe, Arms and Armor collects and celebrates the art of armorer and is sure to inspire designers and shoppers alike.
“I’m currently deeply engrossed in ‘The Goldfinch.’ Bearman’s novel suggestion agrees with editors at New York Times Book Review, who named it as one of the “10 Best Books of 2013.” Donna Tartt’s third novel centers around Theo Decker’s exciting and sudden immersion into the world of underground art in New York City. “Last fall I went to Marrakech, which was incredible. Go there and stay at La Mamounia; it’s perfect.” A unique fusion of hotel and museum, La Mamounia features luxurious rooms and sweets in the heart of Morocco, while also showcasing art exhibitions and carefully selected music that cater to the rich experience of residents.
