Style Setter: Lizzie Tisch

Style Icon

The last six months have been a whirlwind for Lizzie Tisch. Last fall, she and partner Kim Kassel founded Suite 1521, a membership-based luxury fashion retail experience, in New York's prestigious 980 Madison Avenue building (also home to Gagosian Gallery's uptown outpost) and Vanity Fair included her on their “International Best-Dressed List”—the ultimate style accolade.

This spring, the milestones continue when The Costume Institute's renovated wing—made possible by a $10 million donation by Tisch and her husband Jonathan—reopens as the Anna Wintour Costume Center, which will include the 4,200-square-foot Lizzie and Jonathan Tisch Gallery. Fashion and philanthropy go hand-in-hand for Tisch: in addition to The Met where she is chair of Friends of The Costume Institute, she also serves on the board of Citymeals-on-Wheels and is a member of the Couture Council at FIT.

Dress them up with a white suit, or pair them with a flirty spring dress for an easy breezy weekend look. Check out the new Nicholas Kirkwood Pop-Up store, which just opened at Bal Harbour for these and other must-have looks.

UNFORBIDDEN FRUIT
“I have my eyes on Edie Parker for my spring wardrobe wishlist! I predict the fruit bags will be some of the hottest accessories this season.” If a slice of key lime doesn’t satisfy your fruit craving, stop by Saks Fifth Avenue and pick up this adorable Edie Parker clutch. Every girl needs a daily dose of Vitamin C- what more excuse do you need? It’s for your wellbeing!

BREAK A SWEAT
“I can’t survive the summer without SoulCycle at the Barn in Bridgehampton.” Rumor has it SoulCycle is coming to Miami. In the meantime, check out one of the other locations and you’ll surely be hooked on this cult favorite. These classes are no joke- prepare to feel the burn for upcoming bikini season.

MOOD BOARD
“The Charles James exhibit that will be at The Met this spring is so inspirational. The colors and construction of his clothes were incredible.” The Charles James: Beyond Fashion exhibit is a must-see if you’re in need of style inspiration. The inaugural of the renovated Costume Institute will inspire some stellar Spring and Summer looks from the celebrated 20th century designer.
