The more than 10-year collaboration between Chloé and Hannah MacGibbon (who started at the house as an assistant to Phoebe Philo in 1997), is leaving the house "to pursue new projects." Her successor, Clare Waight Keller, who will take the reins of creative director on June 1st, has some major fashion muscle to flex. Beginning her career as a women's wear designer for Calvin Klein, she moved on to work under Tom Ford at Gucci and then became design director for Ralph Lauren's Purple Label men's line. After spending the last six years at Pringle of Scotland, Keller has moved on to show her talents at Chloé.

From MacGibbon's first line as creative director for Chloé in 2008 to her last in 2011, she maintained the house's feminine edge while amping up the vamp at times, like in her Fall 2011 collection full of exotic patterns and dark colors.

As we await Keller's first collection for Chloé, we thought it would be fun to take a look back over the house's major roster of design stars:

1970s
After becoming the house's Creative Director in 1966, Karl Lagerfeld creates some of the most iconic Chloé pieces, including his 1972 black-and-white graphic-print "Deco" collection.

1980s
After Lagerfeld's departure in 1983, Martine Sitbon takes charge in crafting the streetwise,
flirty bohemian Chloé woman.

1997
Stella McCartney, 25, is picked to reinvent Chloé. Young, trendy women are taken by Stella's pretty and feminine designs with a more tailored, structured finish, propelling the house to a new level of success.

2001
Stella leaves Chloé to launch her own line in partnership with the Gucci Group. The role of Creative Director is handed to Phoebe Philo, the supremely talented British designer who instills the line with her distinctive flair for fluid lines and exquisite, sheer confections in chiffon. Philo leaves in 2005 to be a full-time mother to her new baby.
