Suited for Fall

Fashion News
A look from the Stella McCartney Fall 2017 Runway Collection.

This season, she wears the pants. Let’s be real, she always does—but now there are some more options for her to wear when she takes the power seat. Stella McCartney, the mother of all cool girls—and provider of the cool girl's wardrobe—wows us in the suit department. Turn up the volume in this full-leg pantsuit that’s made to move in.

Giorgio Armani has a flair for suiting. And this quirky number has flair for days. Check out the ankle vents with red lining—another big fall trend. This modern take on a tuxedo has us anxious for the cultural season ahead.

Blue velvet is so 70s—but green velvet is all about the 70s redux we’re feeling these days! This Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit is the perfect look for cozying up around the fireplace, or for hitting the streets on a crisp fall day.

Zimmermann may not be the first name that comes to mind for suiting—what with its emphasis on dresses and swimwear—but we’ve got to admit, this all-white number has us hooked! With loads of texture, plenty of volume and a sharp lapel, this look hits all of the must-have marks for the fall.

Oh so pretty in pink! 3.1 Phillip Lim is anything but conventional, and this pepto-perfect suit is case in point. High-waisted to hide or emphasize as needed, the loose fit and oversize jacket make this just about the coolest—effortlessly, of course—look you could hope for this fall.

If you’re into the pants but can’t commit fully to the suit, try this look on for size. The elegant Brunello Cucinelli jacket could easily double as a coat, and the wide-leg trouser accented with a tuxedo stripe actually gives this ensemble a sporty feel. Layer it up with some knits and a sheer blouse and you have a totally winning combination.
