Pinko Pops at Bal Harbour

“The Pinko woman is feminine, strong and confident,” says Kim Do, Pinko’s regional sales manager, who is enthusiastic about the brand’s new store at Bal Harbour Shops, which opened earlier this month.
Inside the shop, located on the second floor just beside Neiman Marcus, clients are quickly enveloped in the Pinko universe. The collections in store include Resort, Athleisure and a special collaboration collection, Coca Cola by Pinko, which has been wildly popular. This fun collection incorporates the classic logo across a variety of looks—from sweatshirts to lace blouses—and includes accessories as well.
Pinko was founded in the early 90s by Pietro Negra and his wife, Cristina Rubini. The Italian fashion brand is independently owned and maintains an emphasis on creativity and innovation in the contemporary women’s market. A free-spirited and youthful approach to fashion can be felt throughout the collections.
While Pinko has a strong visibility internationally, it’s still a relatively new brand stateside, with Bal Harbour being the first destination outside of New York for a standalone boutique. And thanks to Bal Harbour’s international client base, Kim Do notes that a significant portion of the boutique’s traffic is familiar with the brand.
For those still getting to know the Pinko world, may we recommend beginning with the Spring/Summer collection, which presents a mostly black and white collection of romantic looks with just a bit of edge. Think boldly patterned dresses, ruffled blouses, angels, doves and lace detailing. And, it’s never too early to become a Pinko girl, thanks to the Pinko Up kids collection.
