New season. New accessories. That always brings a smile to a fashion lover’s face, especially since Resort’s roundup is just as fun and colorful as the ready-to-wear. And the great thing about a new bag or pair of sunnies is that you don’t have to wait for the right occasion to wear them. Break out these high-impact pieces now.

Cat eye sunglasses are essential this season. Plucked right from the runway, Gucci’s shades are detailed with a unique star and leaf motif. Would you expect anything less than fabulous from Alessandro Michele?

Miuccia Prada, master of arm candy, does it again with this Impunto-stitched nylon satchel with zigzag leather panel. Roomy and statement making, it beautifully transitions from the office to after dark.

Found: new favorite sandals. We love how Karl paired these pearl strand stunners with everything from bleached denim to intricately embellished dresses on Chanel’s Havana runway.

Playful checkerboard prints kept popping up in the Resort collections and Akris’s houndstooth bag is a luxe way to tap into the trend. The house’s iconic Ai silhouette in calf leather can be worn three ways: as a rectangular shopper, as a folded trapezoid tote and as the signature messenger. P.S. The matching jacket is equally stunning.

Trophy earrings were all over the runways as designers’ jewelry of choice. Stella McCartney’s gold spiral earring makes an edgy statement all on its own or can be mismatched with another oversized geometric shape.

Fendi’s innovative, ultra-coverable collection was diversely inspired by American quilting and antique Japanese wallpapers. Wear these calf leather wave heels with one of the checked midi silhouettes—or with anything in your closet that could use a playful update.

Looking for a contemporary mini bag with day-to-night versatility? Reach for Balenciaga’s extra small Blackout City in caramel calfskin. It features perforations in place of the house’s iconic studs for a cool, urban finish.
