Santoni Opens its Flagship at Bal Harbour Shops

Santoni's new first floor boutique at Bal Harbour Shops.

Bal Harbour Shops welcomes a new flagship store to its mix with the opening of Santoni. The Italian luxury brand has two other flagships worldwide—on Via Monte Napoleone in Milan and Madison Avenue in New York—and has selected Bal Harbour for its second US outpost.

“Bal Harbour represents the ideal home for our brand, it’s one of the main destinations for the international luxury and fashion clientele,” says Giuseppe Santoni, son of the company’s founder and CEO of the brand, who has led the family company to another level, establishing it among the most refined and notable luxury brands.

The interiors of the boutique reflect the new store concept conceived by the Milan-based architect Patricia Urquiola, interpreting Santoni’s idea of quality, elegance and heritage. The iconic element is a geometric pattern designed by Urquiola exclusively for Santoni; it’s embossed on the walls covered by fabric, and reproduced on a brass modular grill that stands over the low furniture on the sides. The color palette is warm and elegant, based on burnished brass, walnut, and neutral tones with some touch of color given by the fabric wall in orange (typical color of the brand) and the colorful chair and poufs.

The flagship is divided into two adjoining spaces, the first is dedicated to the women’s collection, while the men’s collection can be found in the second, more intimate space, including small leather goods. Italian craftsmanship abounds, from the brand’s collections through to the furnishings in store, including the Moroso Silver Lake chairs in orange and yellow. An unconventional use of color is a Santoni signature, and can be found in a variety of customizable footwear.
