Gucci’s Glorious Garden

Fashion News
Inside the Gucci Garden in Paris, which is debuting this week at Bal Harbour Shops.

Leave it to Gucci’s Alessandro Michele to create a compelling collection inspired by the most foundational of muses—nature. Dubbed the Gucci Garden, the collection first debuted this summer exclusively online. And now, it’s making IRL inroads to very select boutiques around the globe. And guess which shop was chosen in North America? That’s right, Bal Harbour Shops.

Beginning November 22, enter the Gucci Garden at Bal Harbour Shops, where you’ll find flora- and fauna-festooned accessories and ready to wear available no place else on the continent! This includes ready-to-wear, accessories and footwear you’ll never want to take off!

Michele introduced the Gucci Garden motif, which he first began hinting at it in his debut collection last year. Since then, we’ve seen the brand grow wild with references to flora and fauna. Whether patchwork, patterning, encrusted or embroidered, there’s hardly a surface without a kiss from the natural world.

The concept will present itself as an imaginary universe of flora and fauna that is part of the House’s new design lexicon. The installation, on view through January 4, will showcase the dreamlike nature of Michele’s designs with giant creatures such as birds, bees, tigers, snakes and hydras featured amongst products embellished with the same motifs. These creatures will be brought to life surrounded by bright pink walls, model busts upholstered in warm pink velvet, and a garden of carnations and roses in the center.

Head to Bal Harbour Shops this week for the very latest from the Gucci Garden Holiday Collection. And just in time for Art Basel Week!
