Fierce Factor

You’ve gotten the fashion news alert that leopard print is one of the season’s fiercest trends, spotted in collections from Bottega Veneta to Ermanno Scervino. Other big cats are also on the prowl, lending a wild touch to ready-to-wear and accessories.

Valentino’s Resort collection was inspired by Cuba’s rich history and culture, surfacing in lush tropical prints, ’50s silhouettes and embroidered military jackets. Pops of leopard print also made its way into the line for the ultimate in cool-girl dressing.

Gucci invites you to embark on a fantastical adventure with the Bengal collection from its Resort delivery. A print depicting tigers roaming a pink forest is overlaid on GG signature canvas, bringing have-to-have appeal to espadrilles, high-top sneakers, belts and bags of all varieties.

A family trip to Kenya and Tanzania led Akris’ Albert Kriemler to create fiery animal prints for Fall. Tiger, cheetah and zebra patterns appear on the line’s signature streamlined shapes and sumptuous fabrics.

Leopard print is now considered a neutral in the fashion world, so Jimmy Choo’s Helena 110 pony round-toe pumps equal endless possibilities. P.S. The ankle strap is not only on point, but lends extra support—ultra-convenient as you’ll be wearing them overtime.

Glam-rock gypsies, inspired by 20th century bohemianism and the early 1970s rock scene, strutted down the Fall runway at Roberto Cavalli. Fashion’s most fearless will rock the total tiger velvet ensemble; otherwise, one piece at a time brings a stylish bite.

Stella McCartney never disappoints when it comes to cool, wearable designs. This cheetah jacquard dress, in an eco-friendly viscose fabric, has day-to-night versatility.

Take on the cropped pant trend and show a sliver of ankle with Tory Burch’s Orsay calf-hair bootie. The slip-on style also looks great with skinny jeans and romantic dresses.
