It's A Must

Fashion News
Most of Bottega Veneta’s jewelry is produced in the workshops of Vicenza, one of Italy’s best-known jewelry-making sites with a 700-year history.

Jewelry was ultra-important in the Fall collections, especially elaborate necklaces. Cue Bottega Veneta, a name synonymous with exquisite craftsmanship. This awe-inspiring Naturale necklace features a beautifully complex arrangement of green fluorite, jade and labradorite set in oxidized silver with gold detail.

Piles of pearls dominated the Chanel show, which paid homage to the brand’s heritage with a modern twist. The longer length of this ribbon and resin pearl necklace easily layers over an ensemble for the ultimate in Parisian chic.

On the subject of pearls, they shook up their staid image and adorned everything from sunglasses to shoes on Fall runways. Miu Miu’s pearly velvet slides elevate denim or add interest to a polished look like a white shirt and pencil skirt.

Shoulder-sweeping earrings were also a big hit, spotted at Roberto Cavalli, Gucci, Chloé and Salvatore Ferragamo. Showcase these crystal and pearl drop stunners from Oscar de la Renta with a sleek ponytail or chignon.

Bring on the bijoux! Whimsical embellishment popped up in pins, hair ornaments and earrings. Alexander McQueen’s jeweled belt brandishes a crystal-encrusted eye and pearl teardrop, ideal for cinching a billowy or more tailored silhouette.

Kitten heels are back in a big way, begging to be shown off with cropped pants and midi skirts. Balenciaga’s patent leather booties with a slanted heel put an edgy spin on the trend. And white for winter? Absolutely.

Designers played with precious metals, especially gold, to create dazzling ready-to-wear. While the overall look might be too Oscar statuette, we love a lustrous accent like these leather gloves from Ermanno Scervino.

By now you’ve heard it’s essential to have a spectacular little showpiece on your arm. Dolce & Gabbana brought their bag game for Fall, fusing velvet and extravagant military-inspired ornamentation to create this structured companion piece.

We might have mentioned embellishment is adorning practically everything. Roger Vivier’s Pied de Coq sequined booties will always light up a room.
