Aquazzura has arrived!

Fashion News

By Jessica Michault

Aquazzura, one of the most buzzed about young footwear brands in the luxury market, has now decided to put down roots at Bal Harbour Shops. The brand’s new pop up store is filled with the house’s signature and award winning footwear, from demure flats to the sexiest of stilettos.

The company’s founder Edgrado Osorio, who spent his childhood between Miami and London, studied at the prestigious London College of Fashion and Central Saint Martins. He then trained for more then a decade learning his craft in iconic footwear houses such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Sigerson Morrison and René Caovilla before setting out on his own. Launching Aquazzura in 2011 at the ripe old age of 25.

Today stars like Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna, Julianne Moore and Diane Kruger are often spotted wearing Aquazzura. The soles of their heels adorned with the brand’s unmistakable, and utterly charming, pineapple logo. A motif chosen by Colombian born Osorio because of its association with good luck and prosperity, the idea being to give each of his clients an extra bit of good fortune when they walk out the door in his designs.

Already trendsetters like actress Olivia Palermo and socialite Poppy Delevingne have collaborated with Aquazzura on capsule shoe collections. And this December, Salvatore Ferragamo will launch the Edgardo Osorio X Salvatore Ferragamo capsule shoe collection—marking the first time ever that Ferragamo has linked its name with another designer.

Meet shoe designer and founder of Aquazzura Edgardo Osorio at Neiman Marcus on November 20, from 4pm to 6pm.
