One of the looks available from Tourneau's new TNY series.

Tourneau, the 111-year-old timepiece specialty retailer that boasts more than 100 brands is getting ready to launch a new collection of signature timepieces. Available in September, the TNY Series incorporates the knowledge and expertise gleaned from over a century in business. Created by noted designer Marco Borraccino, and produced in Switzerland, TNY (Tourneau New York) features a contemporary design inspired by the city it was named for. Incidentally, Tourneau just opened a new 3,135-square-foot concept store on Madison Avenue—no wonder they’re in a New York state of mind.

The collection consists of twelve models in three sizes, including a chronograph, a GMT and a hand-winding time-only watch. Materials include stainless steel, DLC (an extremely resistant black alloy particularly used for performance watches), rose gold and titanium.

The signature oversized dial in combination with an extra-slim bezel creates a sensation of lightness. The watches are further distinguished by streamlined numerals inspired by the iconic Tourneau logo. The dials consist of two layered plates, adding volume and dimension to the design, and the case was informed by architecture and industrial design.

Milanese designer Marco Borraccino was an obvious choice for Tourneau’s CEO James Seuss. A fan of his extensive work as a consultant for luxury brands, Seuss noted that, “his pieces perfectly reflect the energy and dynamic timeless that Tourneau represents.”
