Call it Black Swan aftershock, but ballet motifs are still popping up all over the place—including in our very own Spring issue. In “The Swan Princess,” stylist Deborah Afshani teamed up with Ruven Afanador to create an otherworldly stage to present some dramatic pieces from Alaia frocks to Valentino. Here, take a look at some of the other ballet-inspired fashion that recently caught our eye.

Quite possibly one of the chicest accessories lines in store right now, VBH, the Rome-based luxury house, turned its attention to the ballet with its Ballerina Lace Clutch. Designed by the company’s owner V. Bruce Hoeksema, the nearly 300-strong collection of handbags are hand-sewn and assembled by a small team of artisans in Florence each season. Available at Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour.

Simply elegant. These ballet flats from Chloé are the real deal. Trimmed in silk twill with a bow, these graceful flats—available in pink, tan, beige and red—are a wardrobe staple this spring. Available at Saks Fifth Avenue Bal Harbour.

The highly coveted jewelry of designers Karen and Eric Erickson and Vicki Beamon of Erickson Beamon were used to dramatic effect last week at a truly inspired presentation during New York fashion week. A small corner of Milk Studios was transformed into a ballet rehearsal studio, where dancers from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy practiced their pirouettes and pliés while donning Erickson Beamon jewelry. Head pieces—including a face mask that Lady Gaga already commissioned—as well as masks, tiaras and headbands definitely had an air of Black Swan dramatics. Available at Oxygene Bal Harbour.

Never one for trends, Alaia’s looks are timeless and true to its own form. But, some of the season’s latest looks have a definite ballet-inspired vibe about them, several even looking near-tutu-like. We’ll rise to our toes for that! Available at Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour.
