News of a French fashion house manufacturing wares in China may sound like cause for alarm—except of course if the “manufacturer” is contemporary Chinese sculptor Li Xiaofeng. When Lacoste asked Xiaofeng to reimagine its signature polo, the artist produced a porcelain “shirt” emblazoned with his take on the signature alligator. While the porcelain edition isn’t exactly wearable, Xiaofeng dedsigned a limited-edition polo printed with the same motif that most certainly is.
