Over the years, fashion and art have become the best of pals. There’s hardly an art fair without a fashion partner, and countless designers have been seduced by their equally creative cousins, leading to some seriously sough-after collaborations.

With this harmony in mind, we’ve put together a few of the most fashionable events happening during Art Basel. Though most are by invitation only, you can still pick up your own wearable art at Bal Harbour Shops and take part in the arty parties this week.

If you want to start the week off on a high note, step into Harry Winston where its coveted High Jewelry Secrets Collection is on view through December 3. Book a private viewing to see these spectacular pieces—which were designed as an ode to the house namesake’s own reputation for magical mystique—without anything else competing for attention—as if anything could!

Valentino Brand Ambassador Carlos Souza will be in town to sign his new book from Assouline, “#Carlos’s Places,” at Valentino Bal Harbour on December 3 from 2pm to 4pm. Make sure you stop in and get your copy signed! Read our exclusive interview with the jet-setting man about town, here.

Bulgari opens the doors to its new Bal Harbour boutique—the first in the U.S. to showcase the new design concept by Peter Marino. This is a big week for Marino who has a major exhibition opening at the Bass Museum on Wednesday. He, along with  Bulgari CEO, Jean-Christophe Babin and Veronica Bulgari will be in attendance for the ribbon cutting on December 4th.

On december 4, Roger Vivier celebrates its newest face, Ambra Medda, and the limited edition Miss Viv L’Arcoboleno she designed in collaboration with Bruno Frissoni and Ines de la Fressange. A private lunch at the brand new Edition hotel is being held in celebration of Medda and her limited edition bag, but if you didn’t secure an invite, be sure to visit the Bal Harbour store where you will brighten up even the rainiest day with L’Arcoboleno.

Buccellati, Bal Harbour's newest addition, will host an all-afternoon cocktail event on December 4 to celebrate its latest outpost. Spend the day perusing jewels and sipping on Champagne, and enjoy the opportunity to meet Andrea and Lucrezia Buccellati. will be present at the store on Dec 4th. Is there a woman in fashion more timeless and inspirational than Diane Von Furstenberg? The Queen of the Wrap Dress returns to Bal Harbour for a special book signing and appearance at Books & Books on December 2 at 6:30 pm, which has just reopened its brand new store on the third floor. “The Woman I Wanted to Be” is loaded with personal accounts from her life, and sound advice from the woman so many of us want to be!

In its second year as a global Associate Partner of Art Basel, Audemars Piguet partners with the Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) to bring Theo Jansen’s Strandbeests to Art Basel from December 3-7. You can’t miss these larger than life animated creatures as they take to the shoreline along Collins Avenue between 21 and 22 Street.

Leave it to the ladies of Gee Beauty to make sure you're looking your absolute best during Art Basel. To celebrate the season in full swing, Gee Beauty is offering complimentary Gee Beauty Brow or Lashes from December 2 through the 4th, from 1-4pm each day.
