Spring 2011
Spring was a study in contradiction: A completely neutral palette at Donna Karan versus the color explosion at Jil Sander; a print frenzy at Prada versus color blocking at Gucci and Diane von Furstenberg. There was a place for lace, a return of the trouser and a collective homage to 70s-era Yves Saint Laurent that spanned across the Spring collections from Dior to Pucci.
