Full House for Chanel

China Chow.

Exclusive invitation is an understatement. Chanel invited just shy of 200 guests to join the brand in Las Vegas for an invitation-only exhibition of all things Chanel entitled “Numéros Privés.” And how else to kick off a private viewing than with an intimate dinner and raucous after party?

Brad Goreski and Jessica Alba.

The festivities all went down at the Wynn Las Vegas hotel just two weeks ago, and the buzz has not died down since. Guests were flown into Sin City from across the country via private jet—where they were promptly showered with gifts. Upon their arrival in Las Vegas, guests piled into SUVs that were adorned with the Chanel moniker.

Chanel tweed galore.

If you're not already green with envy, continue reading: Put up at the Wynn hotel, guests received complimentary manicures and pedicures at the hotel spa. And where once bottles of OPI and Essie may have filled a shelf, on this special weekend, bottle of Chanel nail lacquer took their place.

Diane Kruger.

What was the point of this spectacular event? To provide Chanel's most special friends with an experience they won't soon forget—naturellement! Those special friends included Alexa Chung, Hanneli Mustaparta, Lauren Santo Domingo, Dree Hemingway, China Chow, Harley Viera-Newton, Jen Brill, Derek Blasberg, Mark Pincus, Jessica Alba, Brad Goreski and Rachel Zoe.

The eight-day, invitation-only exhibition was comprised of 10 small spaces: handbags, watches, fine jewelry, fragrances, a children’s room of Bearbrick dolls and a re-creation of Coco’s apartment on Rue Cambon. And what of the name? “Numeros Privés,” an exhibition more than two years in the making, draws on the house founder's interest in numerology (Chanel No.5 was the fifth fragrance; the 2.55 handbag was designed in February of 1955), plus a play the location (Vegas) and lucky numbers.

Rachel Zoe trying her luck with the claw for some Chanel swag.

For those guests who felt especially lucky, the claw game (where a metal claw dips into a box full of toys) was a major draw. Of course it helped that cheap toys were replaced with mini Chanel shopping bags filled with mascara and lip gloss, plus a few bags with accessories, costume jewelry and even a few pieces of fine jewelry.
